Governor’s Project

This committee focuses on developing and engaging the Governor’s Project, following this year’s theme of “Empower the People” throughout all of T-O! We work to encourage our district to participate in this project, which aims to build back our communities from Covid-19 and increase the morale and mental health of those we serve. Together, we can rise together, creating communities stronger than ever.

Goals:
• Monthly challenges for clubs to participate in
• A clear rubric for the Governor’s Project award
• Flyers to share district wide
• An interactive flyer for members to play along with, related to the Governor's Project
• Engagement and participation in the Governor's Project throughout our district

District Project

Our committee is tasked with helping all of our clubs address an unmet need in the Texas-Oklahoma community. We hope to help all of our clubs make a big impact in their local community so the TO district makes a big impact overall.

Regulations, Elections, and Credentials (REC)

REC is the committee dedicated to preserving and enhancing the governing documents of the district. We make amendments to reduce redundancy, simplify for clarity, and update documents for timeliness. It is our job to strip away the terrifying big words and help the district and clubs through a better understanding of the parliamentary procedure and understandable regulations.

Goals:
• Present the district documents in an easier format
• Create resources for new LTGs to better acquaint themselves with the LTG Policy Code
• Educate clubs on the parliamentary procedure
• Enhance communication between clubs and the district regarding governing documents

Contests and Awards (C&A)

The Contest and Awards committee in charge of running all of the contests during LEDCON, as well as revising award rubrics, contest check-in, judging, and all award presentations. From reviewing the Code of Contests and Awards to presenting awards at LEDCON, the committee is hard at work recognizing club's accomplishments in service and beyond throughout the year.

Goals:
• simplifying and reformatting the code
• improving upon the check-in process at LEDCON
• promoting contests and awards to the district

The Public Relations Committees are divided into two: General Public Relations (GPR) and Event Public Relations (EPR). We work very closely together to promote Key Club and its activities to members throughout the district! Our committees are responsible for keeping up with T-O media presence and communication, keeping up with social media accounts, creating flyers, and keeping members informed of projects, deadlines, and events. Throughout the year, the Public Relations Committees aim to bring together T-O and lift up the high spirits of the mighty district!

Public Relations

Goals:
• Familiarize all committee members with creative layouts and promotion strategies
• Utilize T-O social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok
• Increase district-wide participation and LEDCON attendance
• Organize all media produced under T-O accounts
• Create informative flyers and infographics to promote Key Club events
• Make sure everyone knows about events
• Increase participants in activities and events

Membership

The Membership Committee promotes membership growth, drafts ideas to increase membership, deals with collecting club dues, and works to improve key club member engagement and retention. As a district, our membership target this year is 21,000 members and 10 new chartered clubs. In order to achieve these goals, the membership committee is working diligently to share membership recruitment tips with club officers/faculty advisors through social media and update the membership recruitment packages on the T-O Key Club website.

Goals:
• update the membership recruitment packages on the T-O website
• create new membership retention resources with detailed, accurate information
• help the T-O District reach 21, 000 members and charter 10 new clubs
• host two virtual District Wide Socials this year to connect Key Clubbers from across the T-O District, present helpful information about membership recruitment and retention, explain the process of paying club dues and promote future committee projects and LEDCON 2023.

• improve general key club member engagement

Welcoming Activities at Convention

The Welcoming Committee works throughout the year to plan the welcoming activity at our annual convention, LEDCON! We are responsible for coming up with a list of festivities that will help attendees let loose and potentially meet new people. Some things that were at our last convention include but is not limited to inflatables and monetary prizes. With that being said, we are also tasked with managing a given budget and creating a floor plan. This year, we hope we can outdo ourselves and give y’all a memorable experience!

• Incorporate more current trends
• add polish to the welcoming activity area
• help in the strive to increase membership
• plan games that have never been done before
• offer attendees chances to network

Kiwanis Family and International Relations

Goals:
• Increase interaction between K-Family branches through socials and information sessions
• Identify and make Key Clubs aware of neighboring clubs from other branches.
• Regularly come up with new projects for Key Clubs to do with other branches (focusing on younger branches)
• Increase the number of Builder's Clubs and K Kids Clubs
• Collaborate with membership to charter new Key Clubs

The purpose of the K-Family and International Relations Committee is to boost growth in the K-Family branches and to bridge the gap and foster connectivity within the community. We have a lot of goals this year as we emerge from COVID-19 and our online years!
