The 2007-2008 Governor’s Project is Make-a-Wish. This was the District project last year when we raised over 13,000 dollars. This year’s goal is 30,000 dollars to sponsor about six wishes. The completion form on the Resource CD is a little off and some changes will have to be made. The final and complete completion form will be on this part of the web site as soon as possible. However, the basic idea is this; your club needs to raise from $500-$1000 to receive the patch. If your club raises over that amount they will receive special recognition. The completion forms and binder that are usually required are being handled as we speak, in terms of finding a way to make completing this project easier for everyone. Patch Requirements

To receive the patch for completing the Governor’s project (Make–a–Wish), all one’s club must do is submit funds raised to the Texas and Oklahoma District Office. When sending to the office, create a write – up that has your clubs name, school and officer/advisor information, and signatures of the president and advisor. The actual completion form, not the money, but the completion form, needs to be sent to Governor Will Walker (mailing information below) by March 15, 2008. Upon receiving the completion form I will assume that your money has been sent to the T-O Office and I will then call the office to confirm that your check has been received. I will then e-mail you to tell you that your check has been received. Your project has just been complete, and you will now receive the patch.
