District Board Positions, Now Open! |
The District Board is comprised of many different positions. Those of Governor, Secretary, Treasurer, and Editor were elected at District Convention. There are also around forty Lt. Governors that oversee the operations of between 3 and 12 clubs per Division; they were elected at Division Election Conferences around the Texas-Oklahoma District. This leaves one position up for grabs: Convention Liaison! The Convention Liaison is largely responsible for the success of the District Convention that he/she plans throughout the year. This position is one that require not only leadership skills, but computer skills, long-range planning skills, a motivational attitude, and an openness to work with others. Anyone who is interested in this position should apply via the Convention Liaison Application. They are to be postmarked to recently-elected Governor Chase Beavers by May 7th! Anyone who is interested should apply. Additionally, there are several positions open for Lt. Governorship. Each Division needs a Lt. Governor, and he/she must come from a club within that Division. The currently open Lt. Governor positions are Divisions 19, 30 South, 34, and 40 East. Those interested in one of those positions should fill out the Lt. Governor Candidacy Form. |

That's right! The 2010 Convention held at the Sheraton hotel in Dallas was a success! Not only did Key Clubbers get a chance to meet other members from around the District, but they elected a brand new District Staff, Installed the new officers of the District, learned more about being a Key Clubber, and had fun while doing it! For this year's District Staff, we are honored to have District Governor, Chase Beavers, District Secretary, Suzy Warden, District Treasurer, Elizabeth Flick, and District Editor, Mary Katherine "MK" Tyler. Congratulations to our new staff for their election! |

One of the District's lesser known, but most honorable awards presented at DCON is the Leader of Leaders award. It is designed to recognize those Key Clubbers who go above and beyond the call of duty and show an exemplary effort to help those who need it through community service. We encourage any and all clubs to fill out an application to recognize those Key Clubbers who fit this example. All Leader of Leaders Nomination Forms are due to your Regional Advisor by March 15th.
